F80 front calipers on an E46 M3 with 380mm discs
This seems to be popular kit to fit to the front of the E46 M3 , but as the 380mm discs have 2mm too much offset to fit the calipers onto the hubs , so people either have to fit a spacer behind the hub , or have material removed from the caliper lugs , the standard BMW F80 380mm discs will fit on. It works , but is not ideal to do.
We have made some changes to the F80 380mm 2 piece floating discs and bells we make , and made bells up with 2mm less offset which will make this a straight forward bolt on kit , we also machine 12mm holes for the wheels studs , not 14mm as in the standard F80 discs
So these 380mm x 30mm fully floating discs and bells are the ideal setup to fit the 4 pot F80 blue calipers , they are our heat treated curved vane high carbon race discs and have sprung loaded fully floating bobbins which are quiet as they are sprung loaded.
